Furmax started in 2016 with one desk chair for the home office. A desk chair is the piece people sit in longest, so it is where we learned what matters: a frame that holds its number, a seat that sits at the right height and arms that do not catch the desk.
From there the range grew room by room. Bar stools and pub tables came for the kitchen counter, stackable metal chairs for dining rooms and patios, racing-style chairs for the game room. Later came standing desks, recliners that rock and swivel, sofas and dressers. Today there are 63 pieces in 9 departments.
We sort them the way our own store does, by workspace. A home office needs a chair and a desk that agree on height. A kitchen bar needs stools that match the counter, not the dining table. A living room needs a seat you can lean back in.
Every Furmax piece comes with numbers you can check before you buy: a weight limit, a width, depth and height, and for desks the full travel of the top. A chair rated to 300 lb and a stool rated to 225 lb are different tools, and the number tells you which one you need.
Most pieces arrive flat in a box and go together with the tools inside. Larger ones, such as the L-shaped desk, are a two-person job. The instructions are packed with each piece, and our standing desk guide follows the control panel manual line by line.
We also tell you where a piece stops. A mesh chair stays cooler but feels firmer than padded leather. A counter stool sits too low for a bar-height top. A rocker recliner needs room behind it. If a piece is wrong for your room, we would rather you knew before it arrives.
